Denville Pizzeria & Restaurant has been family owned since 1976. It began with a little taste and history of Sicily yet has proved to produce all of Italy's tasteful aromas. Brother-in-laws Giovanni Battista Gambino and Gaetano Di Maggio started this partnership along with their wifes Anna Gambino and Rosa Di Maggio. Since then they have watched their business grow and their families, too.
It started as an old fashioned pizza parlor that was attached to a dining room for less casual seating. Right down to the red carpeted walls and horse-shoe shaped booths. All the regulars knew they could count on Anna or Rosa serving them with a little bit of Sicilian hospitality.
Renovated in 1998, the goal was to update the restaurant without losing the warm family touch that has alway been part of their establishment. They decided at that point to give the restaurant a name of it's own. They decided to call it "Buon Appetito" an Italian Trattoria, which means "Eat Well". Once completed, the newly renovated restaurant gives you a sense of being in an outside restaurant in Sicily. With artifical vines hanging from a fabricated pergola, european scence like pictures that surround the walls and hand painted vases on the cherry mahognany tables make this a comfortable, warm and pleasing atmosphere.
After 33 years Denville Pizzeria still gives you that family warm feeling with a lot of tasteful dishes and a variety of toppings for the fresh pizza. Never forget Nonna's cookies at Christmas with: Buon Appetito as a message for happy healthy holidays!
